Did you know that Japan is the largest per capita producer and consumer of console video games and its huge 3G mobile network makes it one of the largest mobile gaming environments in the world? For Canadian mobile contents developers and publishers, as well as providers of development tools, middleware and service providers for console, mobile and online games, the Tokyo Game Show is the best possible place to conduct B to B meetings with Asian companies, and find business partners in the region The Canadian Embassy in Tokyo, in collaboration with Canada Games and the provincial governments of Ontario, Quebec and BC will be organising the Canadian participation to the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2008, featuring Canadian capabilities in the interactive media sector, including tools, services, middleware and interactive content. In addition to the Canada Games Pavilion at TGS, the Embassy will coordinate business matching activities on the margin of the show, including a seminar featuring Canadian companies, one on one business meetings, and networking events which will provide Canadian participants with a multitude of opportunities to meet key players of the interactive content industry. TGS 2008 will feature two business days again this year to accommodate more B to B interaction opportunities and will be followed by two general public days during which participants will get to feel the pulse of the Japanese gaming sector end users. TGS 2007 attracted over 220 exhibiting companies, including 97 from abroad. The business days attracted over 62,000 visitors last year, while general public days registered over 131,000, for a total of more than 193,000 visitors. Again this year, Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese developers and publishers of video games will attend match making activities organised by the Canadian Embassy to facilitate business partnerships and relationship building. More than 40 potential buyers from Northeast Asia will attend business matchmaking activities held for participating Canadian companies at the Embassy. Come meet some of the largest game publishers in the world including Capcom, Sega, Konami, Square-Enix, Sony Computer Entertainment, Taito, Bandai-Namco, Gamania, Gung-Ho and many more at the Tokyo Game Show 2008. The Embassy has secured exhibition space at the venue and invites Canadian companies interested in exploring the Japanese and Asian market to use this space to display their promotional material or demo their products. Take advantage of this excellent opportunity to explore one of the most important gaming markets in the world. Canadian companies already scheduled to attend the event, or interested in doing so, are welcome to use the Canada Pavilion as their base during the four days of the event, either as delegates or exhibitors. Deadline to register as an exhibitor is June 23rd. | |
